I did the main Quest line where I got to the end of.. The One Picked my egg watched it hatch. According to the guide that should have put me at honored to be able to start daily quests. Click on her and the quest will be there, it was low level so I couldn't see it on my map. Comment by Magnusmalum For anyone doing this now, here's a bit that might speed up your progress from revered to Exalted. I had exalted on main from back in MoP, but wanted JC patterns, so i did the intro quests with the commendation, got to revered pretty quick, then started hunting onyx eggs thinking it shouldnt take too long, right?
Did run into some people PVP around the Houlon spawn, but they were easily avoidable and didnt give chase. Comment by rlidgiu I just hit exalted and I wasn't taken to the ceremony that apparently used to happen. Also no final quest opened up which allowed me to access my "free" serpent mount. First egg, wasnt able to click. So i went back to The Arboretum, figuring I needed to complete start up quests. I remembered that when I realized the Cloud Serpent mounts are not account wide, that I abandoned the quests for Order of Cloud Serpent. So I went to Shrine, and found that the Order quest giver there had nothing to give me, other than the "how to" and "why" chat.
Has anyone faced this problem? At this time, i have an open ticket. I cannot get the start quest, or any dailies. If you have alts you plan to grind rep with as well so they can learn how to fly cloud serpents, then do NOT buy the other colored serpents with your main character once they become available at exalted. Hopefully this will save some of you the thousands of gold I wasted myself before I realized this. I just tried to kill a swarm of bees for a daily, and was killed because my cooldowns wouldn't pop. Comment by hazyfantazie While it has been mentioned here, I strongly recommend everybody buys the order of the Cloud Serpent reputation boost at revered, it is not just twice as fast but possibly three to four times as quick.
For those trying to find it, it is on the second page of the quartermasters good for sale sheets. They are available other factions too, the Golden Lotus and the Tillers I have seen.
Comment by Hashis Tip from revered to exalted Unless you don't plan to have 3 level 90s, or are really impatient, you can save yourself a bit of gold by just doing the dailies on three toons and not buying any of the mounts, but instead picking a different one for each of the three toons. Comment by sforzie It might be worth noting that, by the time you're getting exalted with the Order for the fourth time, you no longer have any new serpents to learn.
Well, that should be obvious if you've gotten a different colored serpent the first three times. Fear not! The mount you get from completing the last quest that gives you the riding skills functions the same as the mount bought from the vendor, and can be sold to a vendor for g.
Comment by Yazzi With the commendation purchased on a previous character, I reached exalted 4 hours after I hit 90 today on my 3rd 90 character and got the last serpent green I needed for the trio. I did all the quests and then got eggs to revered, did the reset quests and then got more eggs to exalted. It was really easy even with others egg hunting as well.
I just queued for heroics between searches tank insta queue and it was easy as pie! Comment by SammiLynn82 I got exalted today, it took me about a week, or so less. If you are planning to level alts and fly serpents on them as well it may prove smart with your wallet to not buy the two serpents you do not get your first time around. What I mean is, on any character you would like to ride this type of mount you must get exalted with Order of the Cloud Serpent for Cloud Serpent Riding skill first. The mounts themselves are account bound, so if you grind the rep on a total of three characters you will get all three of the mounts without having spent anything to do so.
Hopefully this saves someone some money, as they are over 2k gold per choice of color. Comment by Celestri My main got exalted in weeks, doing all profession dailys but the first aid one, during 5. Once 5. I just hit 90 today with my 2nd character, went to start these dailys. With said 2nd character, I did every profession daily except for the archaeology daily. I was surprised to not only get to honored, but revered, in the very first day.
That is reputation gained in the first day. I did not find any eggs. If this is "working as intended", then thank you blizzard for removing the rep grind for alts, at least with this faction. Not sure how but I guess from doing quests in the area, I was already halfway through 'Honered' with the Order of the Cloud Serpent when I chose my egg and started doing the dailies.
Learned about the Onyx Eggs entirely by accident when I found several and turned them in. After that I started collecting them, since I was finding them all over the island.
I went from 'Revered' to 'Exalted' entirely from Onyx Eggs in no time at all. If you pick a night and get up really early when very few people are on, you can usually fly around and find about 10 or so eggs in a matter of minutes. But upon getting "Eggsalted",, and doing it on another char In my case human ie: for United Nations , after having used Grand Commendation of the Order of the Cloud Serpent , it only takes a couple hours to get "Eggsalted" again.
After all this, all you need, is getting 10 eggs each , wich is easier now than in the start, as there's not many people doing it anymore. Hope it's usefull to someone. Comment by Sequnix I just found out a neat little trick with Cloud Serpents while swimming. If you're underwater in a zone where sea floor movement is enabled Sea Legs Like in Vashj'ir, or Thousand Needles and if you're standing on the bottom, you can mount up your Cloud Serpent and you'll get your full flying speed underwater!
This only works with Cloud Serpents! There are even eggs that you can gather! If you are here, you are probably looking for a simple guide on how to get reputation with this faction and get your beautiful cloud serpent. I love these mounts and had no objection to putting forth the time to grind out the rep! The Tooltip when hovering over the mount at the vendor. There are three different versions of the cloud serpent that you can purchase after you reach exalted.
Each mount requires level 90 and artisan flying to learn. It should be mentioned that, at the current time, Cloud Serpent Riding is not account-wide. Meaning that even though your alts will have the mount in their spellbook, you will NOT be able to mount it without the riding training. This may change in a future patch. The mounts cost 2, gold each. Be warned: This price is with the level 25 guild perk for discounted prices.
If you are not in a level 25 guild it will be slightly more. This is where you will pick up your daily quests, and purchase your mount when you hit exalted. There is also an island just off the coast called, Windward Isle. This is where you will find the eggs that I will discuss later. This is also where you will complete many daily quests. Anyone that has played this game long enough should know what dailies are.
They are simply quests that you can repeat once a day, every day. I will go over a few of the daily quests as I come across them, but I will not list them all at once.
So far the quests are very self-explanatory and easy to figure out, so you shouldn't need much explanation. Some of the quests will appear every day, no matter what reputation standing you are with the serpents. Other quests will be random. You may only see a certain quest once a week, whereas you would see a different quest appear 4 or 5 times a week. When you first start your rep grinding journey, you will only be allowed a certain amount of dailies to complete in one given day.
The further you advance into the reputation, the more dailies that will be awarded to you. Some of the following dailies I list require you to use some secondary professions to complete.
Since my priest already had in all professions when I started these quests, I am unable to verify what skill level you need to do these quests.
