I could not have asked for a better school to send my grandchildren to, and I would not change them from it. Unless absolutely necessary.

It is the best school, I have ever seen. The care, and kindness they show to the students and parents is amazing. And not just that, but they teach the children, responsibility and character and the children seem to grow, into amazing students and children at home.

And I give the teachers and staff at Homosassa Elementary a lot of credit, in the way the children grow. I would recommend this school, to anyone and everyone.. Parent Review 3y ago. It is a small community with many seasonal visitors. The city itself offers events and coordinates well, however.

Seem to be well tolerated. Very few strays about. Most pet owners have fences yards. Country club is only gathering space. More so for elderly. HOA is useless and targets the wrong homeowners. Does not bother the loud or messy homeowners.

Drugs intervened, and continue to be a problem for natives. It is a golf-cart community, so one may get around legally in a cart, but a car is needed to access anything more than a mini-mart as far a shopping goes.

There are many good local eateries, waterfront honkeytonks, bait shops and watercraft rental businesses. It is quiet, pleasant, and pretty peaceful.
